This book was refreshingly good and just the change of pace I needed. I hadn't realized that I was bogging myself down with such dark reads lately.
This was a quick and satisfying read. It was also one of the rare books that I felt the H/h hit it off quickly and convincingly. Cath was skittish of having anything other than a sexual relationship with Nev, due to what she felt were poor choices she made in her past. Nev was patient with her, but also dealing with responsibilities he felt toward his family and their business. He’s a banker, but really wants to be a painter. He doesn’t have the nerve to make that change. These two issues were what drove the story and I felt they were handled realistically.
